Refund and Returns Policy

At CasaCalme, we strive to provide a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests. To ensure a smooth and transparent booking process, we have established the following refunds and returns policy.

1. Quote Validity

All booking quotes issued by CasaCalme are valid for five (5) business days from the date of issue. If payment is not received within this period, the quote will expire, and availability may not be guaranteed. It is essential to note that quotes are subject to change, and prices may vary depending on the time of booking.

2. Payment Requirements

To confirm and secure a reservation at CasaCalme, full payment must be received at the time of booking. We do not accept partial payments or payment plans. All payments must be made via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to the designated bank account provided by CasaCalme.

3. Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit may be required upon check-in to cover any potential damages to the property. The deposit amount will be determined based on the length of stay and nature of the booking. The standard security deposit amount is R9,800. This deposit will be refunded within 7 days after check-out, provided no damages or additional cleaning costs are incurred.

4. Additional Charges

Any damages or missing items will be deducted from the security deposit. If damages exceed the deposit amount, the guest will be responsible for covering the remaining costs. By confirming a booking, the guest agrees to abide by this payment policy and any additional house rules provided at check-in.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Please note that all direct bookings made with CasaCalme are final, and no cancellations or refunds will be permitted. We strongly advise guests to carefully review their booking details before confirming their reservation.

Guest Responsibilities

By booking with CasaCalme, guests acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to our refunds and returns policy. Guests are responsible for:

  • Ensuring that all payments are made on time
  • Reporting any damages or issues to the property during their stay
  • Returning the property in the same condition as upon arrival, reasonable wear and tear excepted
  • Abiding by all house rules and regulations provided at check-in

CasaCalme’s Responsibilities

CasaCalme is committed to providing a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all our guests. We will:

  • Ensure that the property is in good working order and clean upon arrival
  • Provide clear instructions and guidelines for the use of the property and its facilities
  • Respond promptly to any issues or concerns raised by guests during their stay
  • Refund the security deposit within 7 days after check-out, provided no damages or additional cleaning costs are incurred

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This refunds and returns policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this policy shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Act of South Africa.

Changes to this Policy

CasaCalme reserves the right to modify or update this refunds and returns policy at any time without prior notice. It is the guest’s responsibility to review this policy regularly to ensure they are aware of any changes.
